Your Personal 'Popper
Not a Brat-related thing, just good, old-fashioned Depop finds from cheapo designer to wackadoo one-of-a-kinds.
Hi! I’ve been really put through the existential wringer this month (and it’s only the 19th…), so it’s been a huge challenge to post—I can’t buy clothes as of now, so it’s hard to get excited about putting new outfits together or window shopping, but I do continue to scroll Depop while listening to largely mindless movie recap podcasts in an attempt to avoid the barrage of badness that’s been casually tossed my way on a daily basis (though my worst days in NYC are somehow still better than my best days in CA or BsAs, and I’d REALLY appreciate any job leads [editorial, copywriting, styling, sales, whatever] you have that’ll help keep me here!).
Below are some of the most exciting finds of the past few weeks still available for purchase—really wild deals on understated designer stuff ($80 Chelsea Mak blouse!), super rare archival pieces from brands like Lou Dallas that are almost impossible to find in the wild, bizarro one-of-a-kind pieces that measure up to Bode or SC103 at a fraction of those labels’ prices, and of course, great vintage. I hope you enjoy, and I still so appreciate your patience as I get my sea legs back.
If you like these posts, please let me know by liking and commenting here or on Esque’s Instagram, subbing to the Esque Substack (this) for free or get bonus posts for seven bucks a month, or for ZERO DOLLARS, share (tag me if on IG so I can see and thank you)!
If you cannot afford the $5/month, I totally understand—respond to any of my email sends and I will get you a $2 subscription or comp you, whatever you need. Esque is for everyone!
THANK YOU for being here, and I am always available @that.esque on Instagram for sartorial scandals/situations/summons. Here is a little preview of what’s below the paywall:
This wrap shirt usually goes for $400+!
This label is so elusive and unpredictable, I always want to snap up whatever I find in their archival sprawl.
This reminds me of an SC103 piece.
I will always ride for Merrells, and these remind me of Prada sportstyle sneakers.
The most Prada Vaquera ever gets—this skirt would be really cute with the lemaire wrap shirt above (untucked).
