Laundry is a solid brand from the early 00s. Those pieces look great Esqu!

The clothing I love the most is that which is imbued with meaning from wearing it, is classic and makes me feel awesome. Loved this, thanks!💕

Hi ,

It’s great to read what you write ; i look forward to more,

Coco Chanel’s main innovation in fashion was that her suits were not rigid . She used jersey and knit in a way that was unprecedented ( the material at the time was used in men’s underwear ). She wanted to create clothes that women could move in and was revolutionary in her own way . Her depiction in the recent tv show may give a distorted understanding of her - especially in relation to dudes like Dior who dressed women from the outside in with all the cinched waists and corsetry that implies. Chanel dressed women from the inside out and is more of a soul sister than you might imagine .

Keep going ! x R

Thanks for your feedback! I was not at all speaking to Chanel's method of design or techniques, I was referring to a) the fact that her version of "femininity," formality, and indoor/outdoor dress was still exceedingly conventional compared to current day (as I mentioned in the article), and b) she was a Nazi. I do not consider her a soul sister.
