Another listicle (sorry!) because this week has been busy as all hell! This one is full of twists and turns, all connecting somehow to garments I am enamored with. This one is for the patrons/paid subs (it’s technically the second bonus post for February, again, SORRY, MY LIFE IS PUTTING ME THROUGH IT RIGHT NOW, I PROMISE YOU’LL GET TWO MORE FOR MARCH), but don’t forget that you can get a subsidized subscription here for two bucks or less a month. I APPRECIATE YOU ALL! Thank you for bearing with me. This one is extra fun. The first two items on the list are available to all… enjoy…
If you like these posts, please let me know by sharing (tag me if on IG so I can see and thank you!), liking, saving, and commenting on HR’s Instagram, subbing to the HR Patreon or Substack (this) for as little as two bucks a month (extra posts, personal styling, and more available on there!) or throwing me a few shillings on Ko-fi if you’re able. You can also view these posts on the HR website.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support, whatever you are able and willing to do to help is extremely valuable to me and I’m honored to be a small part of your life on the web.
Hammond Song by The Roches makes me feel like I’m levitating. It makes me want to wear long skirts and carry a bindle made of a handkerchief filled with all of my worldly possessions and just start walking until I hit a wall (literally or figuratively).
I always come back to Possibly in Michigan, a short film that simultaneously evokes in me the thoughts "why does this exist?" and "this existing was a cosmic inevitability." I don't want to spoil anything, so take the best 12-minute break of your life and go see for yourself. Violence + preciousness = true elegance. A clip from this film was appropriated as a TikTok sound, which never fails to catch me off-guard.
